Catch-22

Catch-22 by Joseph Heller

I purchased this book used from eBay and there was a note from someone on the first page that said “Nothing Matters” and then the persons name who was giving the book. I thought that was a nice introduction to my reading the book. It’s an interesting story of one soldier who after flying fearlessly for a while begins questioning his mortality and wants to be sent home. He runs into a lot of situations that lead to him getting in trouble.

Toward the middle to end we are taken into another soldiers world that is so complex in a complete opposite manner to the first soldier. I guess they could be a ying and yang.

I’m not sure what to really make of this book, it was a fun read, following the soldiers as they lived their lives as best they could in war.

This is one of the books in Daria’s Reading List that I’m working through, book by book.
