One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest

One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest by Ken Kesey

This book was an interesting view of an asylum. I had just finished listening to NeuroTribes by Steve Silberman where he follows the history of autism and the treatment of people in different countries and different times in the past, and having just finished listening, One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest felt more then a story knowing that these things did in fact happen in the past.

The story is good and I enjoyed the way the ‘normal’ person brought about change in the patients through his antics and scheming. I do not recall if I’ve seen the movie, but I’m interested in seeing it now to see how the novel is portrayed.

This is one of the books in Daria’s Reading List that I’m working through, book by book.
